Who We Are
The Presbyterian Church at Whakatāne; commonly known as the ‘Knox Cluster’ incorporates the congregations of Knox Whakatāne and Ōhope congregations. In addition services are conducted at Waimana, a locally owned and operated fellowship, monthly.

We long to be a vibrant, united church whanau – deeply rooted in Christ, led by the Spirit, growing in faith and overflowing with aroha.
Together, we commit to growing deeper as disciples of Jesus, sharing life with grace, creating space for healing, and reaching out with God’s hope to our community – so that lives are transformed and God’s love is known and experienced.

Cultural Components
We are multicultural throughout the parishes – NZ European; NZ Maori; Pacific Island; South African are some of the cultural diversity we share. Most of our members are from Presbyterian traditions along with now other faith communities working together for God’s purpose to build and extend His Kingdom.

We are a loving, caring, accepting community exhibiting the gifts and fruits of the Spirit. We are eager to serve our community.
